This series, hosted by the Elaine Marieb College Office of Research and Scholarship, creates a structured, yet open, forum for examining how bureaucratic systems shape participation in the university, and for equipping faculty, staff, and students with the tools to navigate them more confidently.

The project combines critical dialogue with practical training, grounded in the recognition that administrative fluency is not evenly distributed but learned, often informally, through access to networks and mentorship.

Through a combination of asynchronous reading and in-person workshops, the program will present an opportunity to:

• Demystify grant funding and institutional processes, and

• Cultivate critical literacy about bureaucratic logic: how institutions define risk, how authority circulates, how administrative compliance language operates, and where meaningful discretion exists
